Opportunity creates careers for our Indigenous Community.
OCC Services is committed to ensuring that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community have the opportunity to connect to employment opportunities within our business. We have formed an official partnership with A2B Walker Group who provide us with skilled labour hire across a broad range of industries including construction, civil, security and government work.
A2B Walker Group is a 100% Yorta Yorta owned organisation that aims to provide businesses with motivated, driven indigenous employees who are supported and prepared for long term employment. In forming this strong relationship, we are excited about the opportunities that will follow for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community within OCC.
The OCC Services and A2B Walker Group partnership aims to deliver on three key strategic areas, including;
-

-
Develop an Indigenous Employment Program for our Indigenous workers (EP). This program encourages ongoing support for Indigenous workers, leading to successful long term employment.
-
Provide ongoing mentoring and support to Indigenous employees throughout the employment lifecycle.
OCC Services have engaged with Kulbardi to provide essential PPE and workplace supplies for our employees & contractors.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners
of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection
to land, waters and culture.
We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
OUR AIM IS TO HAVE 10% OF OUR CURRENT WORKERS FROM AN ABORIGINAL AND/OR TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER BACKGROUND BY 2021.

TESTIMONIAL
For the past 3 years I have been the Construction Manager on the Lendlease MQ2 project in the Docklands Melbourne.
As a manager I am extremely passionate in promoting Social Inclusion & Indigenous workers in the construction industry. Throughout this project we partnered with OCC Labour Services as a primary partner to assist in providing a quality tradesman throughout the project with a real focus on Indigenous work men and women. OCC were fantastic in facilitating our requirements, their professionalism, follow up and delivery is something I heavily endorse and look forward to working with Luke and his team moving forward.
